how to organize table that has different data rate but want newest data lined up?

    hello,
i want to create a table keeping track of inventory replaced but the items have different rates they get replaced, for example item 1 gets replaced daily, item 2 is replaced weekly,
item 3 is replaced monthly. after a while, column for item 1 will be very long and column for item 3 will be short.

my goal is to have all the newest data entries lined up in the same row but i don't know the best way to do this

the idea i came up with would be a macro that finds the longest column and then in other columns shift cells down until match. then the lowest row at bottom has all the most recent entries. would that be a good plan? is there a better way?

    See attached workbook.
When entering a new price you enter it below the others on the correct date row. Row one finds the most recent price for you and always shows what it is for that item.
no need for a macro, just a couple formuals.

thank you for taking time to come up with example

i should have stated in original description that i want recent data lined up so i can easily scroll through older data. in your example there is special row at top with newest data but then to scroll through older data i would have to find bottom and scroll up.

i made my own example workbook attached to post. table 2 shows what i was originally thinking. table 3 is like your idea of having newest data at top but then a macro would push data down to make space for entering new data.

to further clarify my goal, you can imagine in table 2 and table 3, after a year of entering data, column 1 would be really long but newest data in highlighted row is lined up and i can easily scroll backwards to look through older data.

so table 2 or table 3 are ideas i came up with but i don't know if they will have problems long term, or if there's a better way to do this.

    thank you for helping

An idea not requiring a macro would be to make a table for each item and then sort each table newest to oldest.
