Copy same formulas to new workbook

I have 2 workbooks that are just about identical. Same worksheet names, etc. I have about 20 formulas/cell references I want to copy from one workbook to another.
I thought if I did it using ctrl ~, everything would copy

I want the new workbook to just show this formula
    =SUMIFS(Actuals!H:H,Actuals!E:E,N11,Actuals!A:A,N2,Actuals!C:C,P2,Actuals!G:G,Q2)

    But I'm getting this:
    =SUMIFS('[Z005 N60025 Program DATE MOD Xb01.xlsx]Actuals'!H:H,'['[Z005 N60025 Program DATE MOD Xb01.xlsx]Actuals'

What's the quickest way to do this? The only way i know of is copying each formula instead notepad and pasting into the worksheet. Looking for something quicker.

You could copy the entire sheet to the new workbook. Right click the sheet tab that you want to copy and choose Move or Copy and then select the new workbook.

That won't work, half the spreadsheet I need to keep. Just hoping to do a big selection, mainly two columns side by side.

Have you copied the formula from inside the cell and then pasted it?

It does what i showed in the original message. Only way around is to copy in notepad first.

Does this happen when you paste only formulas too?

I have done the same and used "Replace". Copy the name of the other workbook and replace (Ctrl + H) with "nothing" (if that made sense?).

I know what you mean, i tried that. but it gives me an error message "there's a problem with the formula". when the first character is equal to = or -, excel thinks it's a formula. I'm not starting with either in the replace section

    But I'm getting this:
    =SUMIFS('[Z005 N60025 Program DATE MOD Xb01.xlsx]Actuals'!H:H,'['[Z005 N60025 Program DATE MOD Xb01.xlsx]Actuals'
You can copy the formulae and then do a global Find & Replace:

    Find: [Z005 N60025 Program DATE MOD Xb01.xlsx]
    Replace: (nothing)
