Load your file to Power Query. In the PQ editor, delete the fields not needed in your calcs. Don't need to see a file with 3.32 megs. Suggest you post in this forum a file with 10-15 records that are representative of your actual file.

There are some columns that are being used in the pivot tables so they cannot be removed: Player, Rank, WINS, Tournaments, Cashes, and Gross ProfitI need help, to remove columns from workbook sheet Plys 2 stake., not affecting formulas or pivot table results.
As for the others:
1. Select the Formulas tab
2. Select cell A7 on the Plys 2 Stake sheet
3. Select Trace Dependents
For cell A7 the pop-up message says "The Trace Dependents command found no formulas that refer to the active cell", so column A could be removed without affecting any formulas.
4. Select cell B7 and repeat step 3
For cell B7 there will be a line that points to Bankroll column so you cannot remove column B without affecting other formulas
5. Select Remove Arrows
6. Select cell C7, then D7 etc. and keep repeating step 3 and when needed step 5 above.
Note that I suggest making a copy of your file before you start the process of removing columns in the event that you find out later you have removed some that are needed.
Consider taking the time to add to the reputation of everybody that has taken the time to respond to your query.
thank you, will do the above steps.
after doing the above steps seems that all columns that i want to remove have trace to other column so i can't delete.
in pivot table can we make 1st pivot table more user friendly maybe with slicer for stakes of buyings.
not sure what is the other 2 pivot talbes for. I would like to be able to look for low stake buyins and see who are the winning players in low stakes and for highroller tournaments. not sure it the adjustment can be made. I know we had a pivot table where it was for stakes of buiying.
I am having trouble with the dates. lets say i want to look up 2:3 days like apr 8, 9, and 10 its very dificult due to the time.
I would want to be able to do it fast and see the results for the last 3 days on a player like that i have idea if he won or not i know either to stake him or wait

To add a slicer to a pivot table, select the PivotTable Analyze tab and then Insert Slicer. Select the fields that you want to use for filtering.
If you don't need the other pivot tables they can be deleted by selecting the whole range of cells occupied by the pivot table and pressing the Delete key.
You may need to add another column to tbl_Tournaments13 that has only dates without times. Since the values in the Start column are text and not actual date and time values, we will have to look at a formula to display dates.
@JeteMc
Your approach is clever

Please explain the problem with the file as I don't get any error messages once downloaded.
when i open file i get this msg
This workbook contains links to one or more external sources that could be unsafe.
If you trust the links, update them to get the latest data. Otherwise, you can keep working with the data you have.

When I downloaded and opened the file I got a Security Risk message, which is usual for files that have macros (VBA).
Looking on the File tab > Info > Security Information there is a message about macros: Data Connections and Workbook links.
I don't know enough about Macros (VBA) to say what those might be doing.
I don't know why TennEggGuy doesn't show up in the pivot table.
I produced a new pivot table pulling Player into the Rows area, WINS (count) and cashes (sum) into the Values area and Rank into the Filter area (selecting only 1) and TennEggGuy is in row 454.
thank you mate,
okay I am almost done with entries. after using the file where it show TennEggGuy player but not sure if as i am doing entries then it changes to hunter not sure let me finish all entries and will do some testing and maybe use older file then copy paste the entries see if thats the issue.hunter.png
mate, i just type TennEggGuy in hunter name hope that issue is fixed. as you can see the list of players in this picture. is it possible to sort from Highest to lowest in wins.
1. Tenneggguy 25
2. mazalsa 21
3. tam arai 19
someting like the above?

If you set up the pivot table as explained in the last sentence of post #11 then you can sort by WINS as follows:
1. Select the sort/filter button in the Player cell (A3)
2. Select "More Sort Options"
3. Select "Descending (Z to A) by:"
4. Select "Count of WINS"
thank you. i will follow every step now starting from post #11 and try the following brb
perfecto, thank you fantastic i seems to work. Thank you

thank you srimuir
for the advice after playing with pivot table i was thinking if i can filter tournaments by buying lets say from the range of $1.08 to $4.40 or so
maybe the slicer won't be needed. would like to search the tounaments by range of buy-ins.
As buy-ins isn't a field in the pivot table, a slicer would be the only way I know to filter by buy-in amounts.
Note that there may be VBA options.
thank you. maybe i would like to have that. i will work today in the range of buyings amt. like $1.08 to $4.40 and get the rest.
amts. will let you know once i have all that.
these is the range of buying i would like to have in slicer. as it look in the picture.

Change the Stake column (AI) formula on the Plys 2 Stake to read:Formula:Please Login or Register to view this content.
Instead of the slicer using the buy-ins field it should use the stake field.
thank you mate, sorry for late response. Hope your doing well. i been a bit busy. hitting the live play. unlucky yesterday 1,100 seat got away didn't make the call to win it for a 200k GTD. ty for all your support on this projects. will do above steps and paste formula and play around with the buy-ins as i am staking.
