Formatting and Sorting Information into a Table

    Hi all,

I'm trying to split information from a column of cells and sort by another column of information.

    example 2.png

I want Resources (Column Q) to be separated at the commas, and the numbers to be added together, based on the date (Column N). I've tried Pivot tables and a range of different formulas but can't get anything to work properly.

What's the best way to do this? I've attached the worksheet below.

I have no idea what I'm doing, so simple terms please!

    Example Booking Archive Export 2.xlsx

    Thanks

    Welcome to the forum.

Is this Excel 365? If so, please add 365 to your forum profile details. Thanks.

Are you expecting the table on the right to be populated from the table on the left? If so, then please fill in a couple of rows manually to show your expected outcomes, as I have no idea what it should look like. Thanks.

Hi Ali, sorry about that. This is the result I'm hoping for. Attachment 895163

I've updated the worksheet on my original post.

Now I am confused. You have removed the booking end times - is it only the start times that need recording (i.e. just that day)?

Yes, just the start day is necessary here.

    OK - this isn't straightforward!

Paste this in to T10 and hit ENTER:

The top row will need formatting as SHORT DATE.
