    Excel opeing copies of itself

    Hi all,

    Can anyone tell me why Excel opens a copy of the same workbook whilst
    calculating (F9)? is there any way to stop this it's freezing up Excel and
    XP and it's only a 3.0 Mb file

    Do you have a macro assigned to F9 in that workbook?

    No there are no macros at all.
