Thanks Robert but I'm not sure where that would take me. I was looking for an
option in the pivot table that would only recognize values within a certain
parameter. If this will do that can you steer me to where I can activate it
please?

i do not believe you can achieve this with a pivot table AND sumproduct tables are easier and do not keep losing their formatting...
