    Unintentional unrequired unknown self-locating data

I've been repeatedly getting a strange issue where information from certain cells are automatically appearing in completely different cells, as if I had copied them over. When I fix the affected cell, save, close and reopen the spreadsheet, the problem now appears in a different random cell. Anyone ever experienced this? If so, any idea what's going on and how to fix it?
Thanks! This is Excel ver. 2003, btw.

    Hi,

you would appear to have some errant VBA code, perhaps in the ThisWorkBook module triggered by the book opening.

Are you intentionally running any VBA code?

I am not intentionally running anything. It is a simple spreadsheet with only text and numbers, no formulas or anything else.
