Summing accross multiple tabs for specific fields

    Hello,

I have a problem that has been preplexing me. Have a file (see attached) that I need to sum specific rows of data from two worksheets into a consolidated worksheet. The specific problem I have yet to overcome is that there are specific rows of data that are not always consistent between the two worksheets and I want to use a formula that searchs for the category (name) in one column and searches to the specific month on each worksheets and sum the two amounts together for each one if finds. I hope this makes sense. I know there is a way to do this, but I can not get anything to work. Help please.

Not sure if this is what you were looking for.

Check it out and let me know.

Also, not sure, why if your summing all years, why does your summary sheet have sections for each year separately?

    Perfect!

Thank you so much! That is exactly what I was trying to do. I can not tell you how furstrated I was getting. In regards to the additional yearly columns in each worksheet, I forgot to hide these....it was going to be a possible fall back if I could not get this consolidation to work.

You are truely an Excel god!
