check boxes in a protected sheet

    Hello

I have designed a form where I have used lots of check boxes from the forms toolbar. Ecah check box is linked to a cell that gives me a true or false answer and in return is linked to a formula to total up all the true ones.

The problem i have is when i password protect the sheet, you can't select the checkbox. If i de-link the check box its fine. I have tried to unprotect the cell where the checkbox sits but that didn't work. I didn't use a macro for this as i am not good at VB. I really don't eant to have to go and re-do the whole thing as its a llot of check boxes i have linked manually.

    Anyy help please

Perhaps this option will work for you...

Link the checkboxes to cells in an UNprotected sheet.
Hide that sheet if you want to.

Is that something you can work with?

check boxes in a protected sheet

    When a checkbox is selected....
the formula bar holds the linked cell info.

You can edit the links there.

    Not ideal, but workable?
