Page Break and/or Page Setup Problem

I have an Excel sheet that I've been using for years that normally prints as 1 page wide and one page long, at a scale of 85% or so. The worksheet might change by a few rows (either adding or subtracting) but overall stays about the same average size.

Today when I went to print the page it ended up as 2 pages wide and two pages long. Print preview shows a tiny thumbnail size image of each of the four pages, with a big grey border around it. Going to page setup shows that fit to 1 page long X 1 page wide is still selected, but the adjust to box has been reset to 10%.

If I go into page break preview and try to drag the breaks I get the following error message.

Microsoft excel cannot move the page break because doing so would reduce the scale below the minimum 10 percent...
If I actually do print with it at the adjust to 10% size, it comes out on the page at full size. Same thing if I print at 100%. Font sizes and font have not changed.

I've tried removing print areas, closing the document without saving and reopening, restarting the computer, but nothing is working so far. A Google search for the error got a couple of hits, but no solutions.

    I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

Well this fixed itself, but I'm not quite sure how. I had closed and opened this workbook numerous times and was still having the same problem. I then did a copy & paste values to break the links in the workbook and save a snapshot of the end of day values. The values only copy of the workbook still had the print preview problem.

I then decided to look at previous day snapshots to see when the problem started, but all of the snapshots behaved fine. I then reopened today's snapshot, which also no longer had the problem, and then the master worksheet with links where the problem had disappeared also.

So problem solved, and I hope it doesn't happen again. Even though it is a voodoo solution, maybe someone else with a similar problem someday will be encouraged to just try wacky things until it fixes itself.
