    Quick spreadsheet comparison

    Hello,
I have two inventory sheets, the only comon factor between the two are the inventory serial numbers.

One sheet1, there is a row with a bunch of empty fields, some data and the serial number.
I want to populate those empty fields, with the corresponding entries from sheet2 based off the serial number.

    So if on sheet1, row1, column4, there is serial number ' a003e ',
    I want sheet1, row1, column2 to get it's value from sheet2, row(whichever row contains ' a003e '), column 2.

I hope that's a clear explanation of what I'm trying to do.

Sorry for the bevity, I was hoping it would prevent confusion.
Thank you for any and all help,

    -Aaron

    Hello Cheshire,

It would more clear and brief if you attach a copy of the workbook. The needed code/formulas could then be added and posted back.
    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

    Re: Quick spreadsheet comparison

    Thank you Leith,

I've included an exerpt of the spreadsheet.

Some of the fields between the two overlap, some don't.
Some of the serials are found in both, some arn't.

For the ones that do share a serial, I'm looking to consolidate and populate as many of the listed fields as I can in a relatively automated manner.

    Thank you,

    -Aaron
