Use LOOKUP
A2: =LOOKUP(REPT("Z",255),$B2:$Z2)
copy down as required (alter range (B:Z) as required)

I confess I didn't look at your formula, note however OFFSET is Volatile so best avoided when possible (for info. on Volatility see link in my sig.)
