    Smile Lookup & Insert Value

I have a list of Districts and Store #'s on one spreadsheet. In another spreadsheet, I would like to enter the District number in a cell, and have the stores #'s populate below.

    Example:

    Spreadsheet 1
    District Store #
    1 3097
    1 3098
    1 3099
    1 3100
    2 3101
    2 3102
    2 3103
    2 3104
    3 3105
    3 3106
    3 3107
    3 3108

    Spreadsheet 2
    Enter District: 1
    Store #
    Store #
    Store #
    Store #

Hope that makes sense. Any help would be very much appreciated!!!!

Here's one way... the formulas in column B are array formulas...any changes you make must be confirmed with CTRL-SHIFT-ENTER to keep the array active.

And here's a way to do it with much simpler formulas by adding a key column to the data sheet.

    WOW..you guys are quick!!

I was driving on the way home thinking about this...wouldn't an IF statement work as well?

I'll need to review the forumulas to understand how it works....
