Where can I learn complex formulas with functions?

Although I can create simple formulas using functions, I can't seem to put together more complex formulas involving multiple nested functions.

I have a couple of Excel books that explain what all the functions do, and their syntax, but they don't explain how to string them together.

I'm not a programmer, but I do understand basic programming concepts.

Can anyone suggest a good method for learning how to do this?

The way i learnt was to teach myself... i googled nested functions and worked through all the websites building knowledge over time. Helps if you like learning about them which i do. I enjoy doing excel problems a bit like people who enjoy suduko....
This forum is a good place and you can always ask someone to expand their post if your not understanding it...

Keep reading the post on this forum and see how the experts are solving the issues. Take notes and try to solve them on your own before you look at the solution. That's probably the best way to learn.
