How can I suppress the automatic appearance of a blank workbook named "Personal" everytime I activate an Excel program?
The "Personal" workbook is in addition to the workbook expected to be displayed.

The personal workbook is used to store code that you have saved to it. If should be Hidden by default so if you can see it,except in the VB Editor, then you must have changed it's visible property.
If you don't need it then close Excel & find the xlstart menu,in Office XPit's
C:\Documents and Settings\your name\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART
Then delete it
Hope that helps.
