    Getting error when using VLOOKUP

I am trying to pull up performance data from one spreadsheet tab to another using an account number. I have used this function several times in the past without issue but I keep getting the following error "#N/A". I have made sure the account numbers are formated the same, recopied over the data I'm trying to pull into a blank spreadsheet.

Does anyone know what could possibly be causing this error? Thank you

Re: Getting error when using VLOOKUP

If the column you need to match up is numeric, select the column and go to Data|Text to Columns and click Finish... if still no go, then select the cell you are looking up and do the same.... if it works, then reselect the cell, format as General or Number and select the column and format as general or number.

If it doesn't work, post a non-confidential example.
