    Forecasting

I've made an attempt here to do some forcasting (tan) and while some of it looks okay, the $ in K and M declines while the # in J and L increase. Not sure what's going on here.

...also, when I try to use ROW (highlighted red), I don't return the same results as when referring to A for the row #'s

Thanks...trying to get this forcasting thing down.

    Re: Forecasting

    In D12 and copy down, =FORECAST($A12, D$4:D11, $A$4:$A11)

    Then copy right without formatting.

You'll see that the extrapolated points fall on the extended linear trendline of the data.

The formula in C12 could be corrected as =FORECAST($A12,$D$4:D11,ROW($B$4:B11) - ROW($C$3))
Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate
