remove gaps between columns excel 2007

i have a worksheet labeld "D E U", it contains columns A through AQ. based on values that are calculated out in other columns, there are situations where the results in columns A through AQ will return "". is there a way i can remove the gaps and have a nice visual block of columns?

i have no problems with using worksheet "D E U" as a helper to have a more visual appealing look in another worksheet.

any help would be much appreciated

It would be helpful if you posted a sample of your data indicting what you get and what you want ... a before and after example.

in this example, columns D and F return "", i would like to be able to have a block of columns that ONLY contain text. therefore (perhaps in a new worksheet), it would display columns A,B,C,E in columns A,B,C,D with the resulting values.

the way the program is set up, a column will be either entirely filled in or entirely blank
