    Dynamic range names

Hi. Is it possible to create "Dynamic ranges" based on specific value in some column? In example in attach i want to create ranges by values in column Config. The idea is to use such ranges as X and Y values of scatter diagramm (in example rather direct method applied)

    Hello,

if you want to prepare data for a chart, that data needs to be in a contiguous range.

You can use dynamic range names to define the start, extent, and end of such a contiguous range, but you can not define a range name that uses disparate cells in a column.

Why do you think so? Press and hold Ctrl, select any nonconnected area. You wll see that adresses simply will separate with ";" instead of "first:last" for connected area. This is already done in example. For scatterring this is best way.

If it so then Excel rather dissapoint me . Because to sort by lookup field and create ranges (that will be continuous) is not what i want. If data for lookup field would changed then i should manually recalculate diagram...
