I was wondering if any of you could help me out on this. I was asked to solve this problems using Excel, and I have spent two days but can't really figure out. Pleae take a look at the attatched file, and any comments will be appreciated. Thank you in advance,

Yes, it's kinda homework but more towad my new job. I am getting a position at purchasing department, and I am familar with solving this problems by hands but didn't learn them through Excel. Not sure if they teach this stuff using Excel at schools these days, but they weren't when I was in school. Anyway, thanks for your interest.

So, tell us how you would do it by hand and someone will tell you how Excel can do it.
