    Conditional formatting help Excel 2010

I would like to set conditional formatting where if value in one column is greater than another column.

I have included a sample table from what I'm working on. In this example table, I'd like conditional formatting to fill column C cell red if it is greater than column A.

I know how to do this for a single cell, but can't figure out how to set the whole column. I have over 7,000 cells in the column and definitely don't won't to do them 1 at a time or eyeball.

    Appreciate your help,

    Brian

    =(C1 > A1)

Set it for one cell and use Format Painter to copy it to the other cells

Ensure you describe your problem clearly, I have little time available to solve these problems and do not appreciate numerous changes to them.

You don't show any column headings so I assume you don't have any. In that case, select the whole of column C. Then select Conditional Formatting, new rule, formula:

    =$C1>$A1

It will auto adjust for the other cells.
