    Excel formula-copying has stopped functioning

In Microsoft Excel, using the copy function on a formula cell has always copied that formula and adjusted it for the new cell's location.

Recently my Excel has stopped doing this, and copies ONLY the displayed text. In addition, the Paste Special menu has been replaced with a new, useless one that only offers the option to paste as unicode text or regular text.

What part of this broke? Is it a setting with my Excel or perhaps with the clipboard itself? I am running Excel 2007 on a Windows 7 machine and I've never had this problem before.

Are you copying from within the same workbook? My first thought is that you are copying from TWO different Excel instances. By doing so Excel can only copy the values and paste as such. To correct this issue is to open both workbooks under the same instance.

Nope, I'm trying to copy cells within the same workbook and the same sheet. I put the formula in cell 1, copy it to cell 2 but cell 2 only gets the value.

Have you closed the file and reopen? Closed excel and reopen? Can you upload the file?

I've reopened several times, as well as restarting the computer. At first I thought it was a problem with the file, but the problem occurs in every Excel document.

I will upload a picture of the new Paste Special window:

Oh hey, I DID install Skype a few weeks ago.

It appears that once Skype has been run, the problem persists even after it is closed. Restarting now to see if this resolved the problem.

I still have the problem. I've made sure Skype is not starting up on boot-up, but I don't know what else to do in Skype - or where to find the Click to Call feature so I can disable it. Any other thoughts or direction? Thanks.

I found what I needed - In Skype > Tools > Options > Advanced I found a spot to uncheck Click to Call. I re-booted and problem was solved. There is conversation on the Skype board too.
