    Refresh pivot table on a protected worksheet

    I have this code:

    Please Login or Register  to view this content.
    When I open the worksheet the code fails with the error "Cannot edit pivot table on protected sheet". However if I put a breakpoint on the first line of the code and execute the remainder with the F5 or F8 key, it works without error. What's happening?

    I solved this by going into 'Data'..'Connections', selecting the connection, opening 'Properties' and unchecking 'Enable background refresh'. Although why that works I have no idea.
