showing cells to zero Decimal places

1 dp.xlsxAppreciate any help I can get on this

I have a cell say A1 that has 76.33333 showing in the Fx cell on input but in cell A1 I have rounded this to show as a round 76
however I want to send this out and dont really want the user to see/use 76.3333 on their systems

how do I make the actual cell show as 76.333 rather than 76

hope fully the attached demonstrates what im trying to see - this is a simple version but I do have a number of sheets and versions that need to be updated

    thanks

If you don't want to work on this column, then you can choose from the format>protection>secret, for this column and then protect the whole sheet.

I' not entirely sure what your problem is here??? The fx value shows 76.3333 because that's what was entered. You have formatted the cell A1 to show no decimal places, hence the display of 76.

Is the actual value 76.3333 a calculated value in your 'real' spreadsheet? If so, you should enclose it in an INT function, which will do your rounding for you and show only the formula in the fx area (the formula bar).

hi bumpty, you can do a formula in another column & later paste over as values if needed. if you need to roundown, try:
    =INT(A1)

    to round depending on decimal:
    =ROUND(A1,0)

Thanks, if you have clicked on the * and added our rep.

Re: showing cells to zero Decimal places

thank you i have tried the round function but the problem I have is that there are many many sheets and cells and I can not do an easy copy and paste within it and danger is the results may get currupted.

The sheet is being sent to a supplier that will use to upload into their pricing module - they see the price of 76 and need to import 76 and not 76.333 as it presently shows in the fx box

sorry to sound a little dim but not sure how to round withour copy and pasting and then copying back as a value - trying to avoid this if I can ?
