Information typed and document saved; reopen, no information there

I use Excel 2010 everyday, but I am a "hacker" and that's how I learned over the years.

I created a 2-tab document in Excel 2010, saved the document and closed it. The next day I opened the document. The first tab's information was there but the second tab's information was gone. The columns were all formatted as I had created but nothing on the page. I thought maybe I had hit the wrong button and accidentally deleted everything so I didn't think much of it. Another co-worker just came to me and said the same thing happened to him. Then another co-worker overhead and said it happened to her as well. So I now know it's not a user error.

Has anyone else come across this? And if yes, is there a way of seeing or retrieving the information? Any assistance would be most appreciated! Thanks much.

I have never seen this problem outside of user error....if it was stored on a network drive, maybe. Sorry I can't be of much more help, but I think every post should get a least 1 reposes so you know someone cares

    Nemo74:
Yes all of our documents are saved to a network drive. Everyone in the office that has experienced this issue was using Excel 2010 and was on multiple tabs.
Thanks anyway. Hopefully someone out there can provide an answer. It just happened again to someone else in the office.
    Very strange!

could it be more than one person is "in" the file? Who eve is in it first would get access to save, the 2nd person would be read only. I'm guessing here

No. These documents that are made are specific to the person that created it. We have not opened eachother's documents. However, after discovering this issue, we TRIED opening the other persons document, with the same results....blank page.
