Question Vehicle Maintenance Schedule

I'm responsible for setting up a compliance system for heavy vehicle maintenance.
I'd like to compile a spreadsheet that captures all the maintenance data, and prompts the relevant staff member when services and inspections are coming up.
There are other aspects, but that would be a great start.
Any ideas - existing spreadsheets?
Thanks,
Rob (aspirus)

Re: Vehicle Maintenance Schedule

Hi and welcome to the forum

There may be existing workbooks that some members may have, and may be willing to share with you. But its been my experience that such "canned" sollutions generally fit THEIR requirements, not yours.

My suggestion would be to start putting something together for yourself - something that fits your needs - and together we can then help you build it to where you want it to be.

Start by creating the log the way you (I presume?) currently do it manually - enter any calculated values manually, and lets take it from there?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Re: Vehicle Maintenance Schedule

Thanks for that. I'll follow your suggested process, which will work out well.
I have to close out some Corrective Actions by the end of this week. I can do that from the 'manual' setup, then 'automate' it from there.
I'll post the manual version for you to have a look at - modified to retain client confidentiality. I'll put some notes on it to show what I'd like it to do.
Appreciate your help.

sounds like a plan

The other good thing about creating yourself, is you know exactly whats inthere and there are none of those "what the heck did they do there" moments
