Merging data vertically in Excel CSV (comma delimited)?

I have about 300 paper bank statements I'm scanning onto the computer and converting to CSV format with pdf2xl, the problem is, the statements description goes over a few lines on paper and the pdf2xl outputs that as multiple rows where as i need it in a single cell. is there anyway to quickly merge the cells together into one with data instead of highlighting, copying and pasting it one after the other?

If you need help visualizing it, I have a jsfiddle here http://jsfiddle.net/Cyp9m/ that explains it.

just hit run and it will show you what i mean with the tables.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi SteveJeffs

Will the description always be on 3 lines, or could it sometimes be squeezed onto 2 or even line(s)?

    What is Description1 is it
    (a) Description1.1
    (b) Description 1.2
    (c) Description1.1 + 1.2 + 1.3
    (d) None of the above

Will both the Debit and Credit values be positive? In which case should the balance figure should sometimes be positive and other times negative?
Will a debit or credit balance result in a negative balance?
Will the balance figure be the debit (or credit) figure, or will it be the previous line's balace updated by the debit (or credit) figure?

(I'll bet you never thought that there could be so many questions from such a simple request! )

    Regards
    Alastair

Thanks for replying! Description 1 was c and the debit was positive while the credit was negative, funny thing is now, while waiting for an answer I just did the long method of copy and pasting into cells and I'm all done! Haha.
