I'm working on a large data analysis decision-support system tool for a barge shipping company for my Senior Design project. I've got quite a bit of experience in excel programming and was a TA for my school's DSS class last semester. I'm building a filter and would really like to have a range slider set up for it. But, after quite a few hours online I haven't been able to register the Microsoft Common Controls .OCX file as I should be able to to make the control available in excel. Just a normal scroll bar won't really be as effective as I'd like and using text boxes is not quite as profession as I'd like. Does anyone have any advice for where/how I can make a slider control usable in Microsoft Excel 2013 with Windows 8? I'd really appreciate the help.
