    Tying a IF statement to an entire column

    The subject summarizes what I want to achieve. I just want to tie an if statement to an entire column, so it will disappear if a statement is satisfied

    Thanks

    Use COUNTIF() maybe =if(countif(a1:a100,"fred","","something else)

    If you want to use VBA, you can hide a column (or Columns) based on the value entered into a specific cell, say cell A1.
