extract rows from master sheet into separate sheets

I have a master project list where I list all the projects that I've had in the past. I add projects to this list as they come up.

I'd like to be able to have 2 other sheets (open/closed) where I can quickly find which projects are open. The way I know a project is closed is when there is a date in the "date closed" column.

I'm having trouble copying the entire row of information for that project into a new sheet when the date closed cell in that row is empty or has a date in it. The master list should contain the full list of projects (open+closed). Help?

Would it not be easier just to create a filter for each type, i.e. one for open projects and one for closed projects?
For example highlight the Finish Date column and click on the filter button on the Data Tab, then untick Blanks to list the completed projects and then tick Blanks to show all projects.

I would prefer to have the open/closed projects spit out onto separate sheets. It would be easier than teaching everyone who uses the list to check the filters.
