Select from a preset list multiple items in the same cell

Hello,

I’m trying to fill out a column that will have hundreds of rows with items from a preset list. In most of the cells I need to include more than one item from the list. I tried to do so using data Validation list, but this allowed me only to choose a single item for each cell, which is not what I need.

To make more clear what I need, I’m attaching a file. Here’s the explanation of what I’m trying to do with this file: I’m trying to fill out column C that will have hundreds of rows with items from a preset list (detailed in column B). In most of the cells in column C I need to include more than one item from column B in the same cell, that list, separated by a comma. Examples of what I need are in cells C2, C3 and C4. These cells I filled in manually, writing each item. What I’m trying is to find a way in which I could just tick the relevant items from the preset list.

I’m new to excel and have never done any programming, so don’t know what to do. I’d really appreciate any suggestion on how I should proceed.
