Branching Questionnaire

    Hi,

I am hoping to build a questionnaire which will provide the user with an answer at the end based on their input.

The questionnaire needs to show questions based on the answers already given. I have the questionnaire logic already drawn out, but wanted to know what is considered the best/neatest way to do this in excel.

I could show all on one sheet but it is too many questions. I could move to a new sheet based on each answer but this may be difficult. Any templates/links/advice would be appreciated!

(If my description wasn't clear enough a guess a good example would be a life expectancy questionnaire where it gave an age at the end. In this example if you selected "Yes" to 'Do you consume alcohol' it would ask further questions about how much etc)

    Thanks!

    Re: Branching Questionnaire

    Hi Alkey,

Thank you. Yes I am sure the answer to my question may well be contained somewhere within youtube... sending a link to a youtube search for excel questionnaires wasn't all that useful to me. I ran through a couple and they didn't say anything about branching logic / hiding showing questions based on previous input.

At the moment I plan on having sections of small questions in each sheet and use select case in VBA to have the logic to guide people through. If anyone has any templates/ideas I would appreciate them.

    Thanks

    Re: Branching Questionnaire

Without seeing what you have, this is just sharing thoughts.

Perhaps if you had a code for each answer (hidden), and a bunch of ranges for each "branch", you could then use this code and branch to put something together?
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
    2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
