I'm working in a Excel document with a lot of tabs. Every now and then it starts overwriting all or some of the sheets with the information that I enter on a different sheet. How can I fix this?

I believe you might have grouped the sheets. Just do right click on any sheet tab and select ungroup sheets and try...

...and just to complete the point 6thSense makes, and assuming grouping is behind your question
or select any of the tabs that are not grouped....
