    Encrypted files from virus/malware infection

Hi guys, I have seen a few threads with this problem but wanted to create my own as I have not got a fix for the problem just yet (hope you do not mind another post about this).

Same as the other guys client was infected and then ended up with all files damaged/encrypted. Please find an attached file.

    Thanks for the help.

    Regards
    Wes

do you know which virus it was? if it's CryptoLocker you are out of luck-there is no decryption tool that I know of

if at first you don't succeed try doing it the way your wife told you to

that was for the Mabezat virus which was a real simple encryption; CryptoLocker uses encryption keys
