    Excel 2010 - Paste Values with Paste Transpose at the same time

    Back when Excel had Paste Special, you could select Paste Values at the top, and at the same time select Paste Transpose down at the bottom.

    Now when I copy the data to paste the values, I do not get to transpose. When I paste transpose I do not get my values.

    In Excel 2010 how do you Paste Values and Paste Transpose at the same time?

    hi phillyfilly. i am more of a keyboard person, so i don't know if there was such an icon in the past. but you could still access the right-click menu -> Paste Special & have all the functions available where you can paste values & transpose.

    the keyboard shortcut after copying is
    ALT + E + S + V + E + ENTER
    or if you have the right-click button on the keyboard (usually on the right side in the middle of Alt & Ctrl), then
    right-click button -> S -> V -> E -> ENTER

    if you prefer an icon for it, you can record a macro & then add a custom icon in your Quick Access Toolbar

    Thanks, if you have clicked on the * and added our rep.

    Benishiryo, thank you for your reply. When I right click, the options come up for Formulas, Transpose, Values, etc. but it will only let me do one. I need to transpose values.

    What does ALT + E + S + V + E mean? Thanks.

    not sure if you clicked wrongly. ignore the icons. click on the Paste Special. it's exactly the same window as the older versions

    that's the old shortcut that still works in new versions. ALT goes to the Menu. E used to be Edit. S for Special. V for Values. E for TransposE. if you follow the new version now, you can press ALT & you'll see the alphabets coming up. press H for Home. V for the Paste icon. S for Special. you should see the window i mentioned using the right-click -> Paste Special. then press V for Values, E for TransposE. i'm using Excel 2010 right now. should be similar to Excel 2007. follow the alphabets above your Ribbon if it differs from mine
