Help to pull records from spreadsheet

I have a spreadsheet that has students down the first column and many columns with headings. Data is input for each student in the cells under these headings. There are columns which calculate ranges of cells. There are also cells which present text, depending on the calculations. I wonder if I can create individual student reports that can have all the headings and results.

Re: Help to pull records from spreadsheet

Hi and welcome

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are demonstrated, mock them up manually if needed. Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

Re: Help to pull records from spreadsheet

I've added notes on the After page.

I'm out of my depth here and can't see how to pull a report that states the headings and the student's name. I figure the only way to ever learn is to ask and be taught! I can make sheets like this but can't work out how to chart trends and results. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Rosemary and welcome to the forum

Im sure we can help you with this, but as Pepe suggested, it will be far easier to offer suggestions if we can see a sample of what you are working with, as well as a few samples of what your expected outcome would be

To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

It's not a spreadsheet I made myself so I will try today to get permission at work to post it for all to see. Thanks.

If you cant (and many members cannot or are not allowed to) post your workbook, maybe you can mock 1 up that resembles what you have and what you want?
