Student's Mark and Grade

Hi everybody,

Hope you are doing well.

I am looking for a function that would convert any mark into a grade. For example in cell B4 I want to enter the total score, cell c4 the score that a student gets and in cell d4 the grade. It is like a grade calculator. I do not want to limit cell b4 the total score cell with a specific total score number. It can be 100, 50, 30 or 10. The moment I enter any total score and the mark that a student actually scored, the grade is given. I attached an excel sheet for you to know exactly what I am looking for.

Can't say your sheet is very useful ! No data, no example, no before and after...
This being said this question has been asked many times on the forum. Use =LOOKUP(value, lookup_vector,result_vector)

Thanks, Pepe Le Mokko for your reply. In fact, I am trying to create a file like the one I am attaching now. It has two worksheets. The first worksheet is named gradechecker and I am trying to make one like it. Please have a look at the spreadsheet.

Just enter a total score that can be from 1 to 100 and enter the student's actual score and the grade is automatically shown. The passing rate is 60 %.

no idea where you want if, also its password locked
