excel stalls when leaving cell after data entry

If this is a problem with just one cell. Delete the contents and re-construct.

If this is a problem with all cells then a number of things could cause this. This is by no means a complete list but a place to start:

1. The computer is close to the minimum specifications for Win 7 and or Excel 2007

2. Something is hogging the system resources...Task Manager's Process Tab will show what is using up the memory resources.

3. Temporary files need cleaning out...Ccleaner from www.piriform.com (free version will do)

4. The Excel file itself may the cause....very large file?......macros running....problem with external data connections?

5. Hard drive nearly full??
