Cell formatting questions

Hi all,
I have a couple of questions around cell formatting.
First is around condition formatting. I have some cells which I need to colour based on value. > 5 colour red. <6 colour green. One group of cells is conditionally formatted this way but another group of cells which looks to be formatted the same doesn’t return the same result…. It seems to work with numbers other than zero which should fall under the <6 category and be green but it this case it returns red.

This leads to my other question about zero’s. The cells that I want to conditionally format come from another sheet, if there isn’t an any data in the cell to be copied it return 0. This throws out my sheet as some of the valves will be 0. So I want the 0’s when they’re there but nothing when the reference cell is empty..

Any idea’s.

Hi I hope this helps.

Not sure why you would do "> 5 colour red. <6 colour green", surely you would do something like >=6 colour Red <=5 colour Green, try it, it may be what you're trying to achieve.

Thanks, removing zero code worked.

The colour formatting is still giving grief... one part of my sheet is returning the correct result but the other part isn't so it must be something to do with where the data is coming across from... I needed the <5 and >6 without the = as the value could be anything from 0 - 5 (green) or 6 - 100 (red).

I'll keep playing but at least one bit is fixed.
