Client code for differentiated client price

    Hello!

Nice to be in the forum.

    Excel.jpg

See the attached image above. I'm trying to make Excel deliver a price in column M7 depending on which value is inserted into a client type cell [for example Z1]. 1 means retailer, 2 means installer, 3 means wholeseller and 4 means James price.

So when the value in cell Z1 is 3, the cell M7 should get the value from cell K7; when the value in cell Z1 is 4, the cell M7 should get the value from cell L7, etc.

In this way I want to control the whole price list just by changing client code in one cell. I presume that some sort of IF-function would do the trick, but I don't manage to get a correct formula.

    Thanks in advance!

    Best wishes,
    Max Wallin

    Hi
Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are demonstrated, mock them up manually if needed. Remember to desensitize the data.

    Hi Max,
Take seriously Pepe Le Mokko advice. (it is also mentioned in forum rules).
    Just guessing:
If it is a sequence of cells next to each other and arranged in an asc/des order it sounds like the OFFSET formula shall do the trick.
    Best Regards,

    Sorry for that, guys!

I've prepared an Excel file with just the basic information.

I'm trying to make Excel deliver a price in column E3 depending on which value is inserted into a client type cell [for example B5]. 1 means retailer, 2 means installer, 3 means wholeseller and 4 means James price.

So when the value in cell B5 is 3, the cell E3 should get the value from cell C3; when the value in cell B5 is 4, the cell E3 should get the value from cell D3, etc.

This might serve as a basis for a solution for you:
Put the formula where you want the answer. I didn't know for sure if you wanted it in the total or not or even if there were going to be more entries in the list.
