I downloaded a text file into excel from a non-microsoft database and one number appears left justified along with a "T" symbol in the Expense 1 column...has anyone seen this before and what could possibly cause it???? I have attached a screenprint.

An image attachment has very little value. Just attach the Excel file. It's easier than taking a screenshot first and then attaching that.
Looks to me like a special character, like a 02D5. If you double-click on the cell, do you still see it? (That's why I recommend attached the actual Excel file)
I think that's character 22, " ┬ ". The how and what would be best be explained by interacting with your file. My guess is that's either a typo, a language miscommunication, or a formatting issue.

I have attached the excel file and yes if I double click it I still see it...none of the data has been touched......it was a straight download into excel.......so I just wanted to know what it might signifiy so I can go back to the original database to see if the data is corrupted....thanks for any adviceOriginally Posted by 6StringJazzer

daffodil11 nailed it, it's character 22 and is in your data, so must be some sort of corruption in your data.
A little extra information on that specific character:

It's entirely possible that the character was communicated intentionally or that it's documented within the databse as signal for idle synchronicity; however seeing that kind of character as the result of a query or datadump would definitely be a red flag to me.
