Excel 2007 - Using Sort once filter button applied

I'm wondering if someone can help me....

I have a list of data that I have applied Filter buttons to. I use the filter buttons to break down the information being viewed i.e. by project. However I wanted to also sort the data list alphabetically by surname - I click on the filter button and select Sort A to Z which works, however the corresponding data does not adjust with my sort? I've attached a spreadsheet to as an example of my query - is it possible to do this?

Another issue I have is that on a weekly basis new names are added to the list - so I would prefer to add them to the bottom on the list and then just sort A to Z again - its much quicker than inserting new rows etc.

    Any Advice would be appreciated

    Thanks in Advance
