modifying text of cell

Hi

Pls see attached file.

I have two cells with these texts inside
US Stock Screen7a(Valuation3).xlsx
US Stock Screen7a(Growth2).xlsx

I would like to eliminate the part in brackets and have new cells report:
US Stock Screen7a.xlsx
US Stock Screen7a.xlsx

What is the formula I should use?

Here's another way.

Highlight the relevant cells
Using Find & Replace
In find what put (*)
In replace with, leave blank
Click replace or replace all
