Change number every time file is opened

Hi. I'm building an invoice template.One of the functionalities required is that whenever the template is opened, the serial number should be higher than earlier. Example: When I close the file, it is INV#111. Now when I reopen it, it should show INV#112.
How can this be achieved?

Can be done with VBA. Put this code under "This Workbook" and it will increase the counter by 1 every time the file is opened. Modify it for the invoice number.
