Setting up .csv column import into workbook row

Want to import csv data column into Excel (Mac 2011) workbook row.

Desired data are in cells B1:B7 of a dowloaded, csv-formatted Excel file. I want to import these values into workbook cells C2:I2, but I haven't been able to figure out appropriate properties settings in Import Data dialog.

Is what I want to do even possible?

I think when you import a file it goes automatically to a new sheet and starts at cell A1
You then have to manipulate the data to place it where you want it to go probably via VBA.
