10 employee schedule with ability to send emails when hourly updates are made

    Dear Forum,
After searching and trying various helpful sites across the internet, i found this forum and need some Excel help, as i'm not as good as i hoped to be with it and any help would be eagerly accepted.
Description- We currently have 10 people on my work team that have to take turns taking inbound calls for 1 hour per day(M-F 8a-5p) This is a rotating 1 hour schedule every day. For example, today my call schedule was 3-4pm and tomorrow will be 1 hour earlier; 2-3pm and so on. We have a nice little spreadsheet for the team, with everyone spread across every hour and a few hours have 2 taking calls.

Unfortunately, here is the kicker---> Every day up to 2 different people come in to work 11a-8p and when those people's call schedule happens to fall either (8a-9a) or (9a-10a) or (10a-11a) then the schedule for the day moves forward and we are being held accountable to inform those whose hour would move earlier. (those scheduled in the hour slots after 12pm don't move forward, but the late shift person starts their day with the 11am call hour). Wow, now after reading that and almost confusing myself, this was my thought on how it might work. Those people working late tomorrow, would be able to click or update the sheet somehow the day before or the supervisor could click on who was working a late shift when he gets here at 745am and either way a generic email would go out to just those whose call hour that day got effected/shifted.
Needs- ability to update team members and emails as team changes
-ability to change schedule on the fly if someone leaves early or calls in unexpectedly (sick)
    - ability to adjust individuals hour of taking calls as the supervisor changes or adjust the 1-hour schedule for whatever reason

There is a lot here and any advice, help, teaching moments or letting me know that Access or some other ? would be better, are all appreciated.
(the other answer - everyone just needs to be responsible....but as we know that way never seems to work )

Re: 10 employees and we cant keep track of our daily schedule

Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution.

Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.

To change a Title go to your first post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.
