How can two or more people work on the same spreadsheet at the same time

    Hello,
I'm a college student and often get group projects. I always have to wait for my the people in my group to finish their part, so I can start mine. I was wondering if there was a way me and group can work on the project at the same time (from more than one computer).

    .
You can post the workbook to MS One Drive.

You can utilize Excel 365 online version.

If don't need to collaborate while working on the workbook, each person can have their own copy of the workbook
on their computer. When finished with their work, they can update the MASTER WORKBOOK (stored on a cloud site).
This will require all others to wait until the first person is done updating the MASTER WORKBOOK. Each person will then
need to download the latest version of the MASTER WORKBOOK, prior to starting again with their changes.

Bottom line : Excel (except for those listed above) is not designed to be accessed by two or more people at the same time.

The attached contains three workbooks how to check if a file is available.

With a Office 365 subscription then there is apparently a feature called "co-authoring" which will allow multiple people to update the same workbook.

Failing that, then under the button "Review" tab you will see a "Share Workbook" button that you can click on. There are some fairly common features that are not supported when in shared mode - you can google for details - but if you don't care about these then this mode may be of use to you.
