    Post Help with condititonal formatting

Here's the scenario. I have a master price list. Each product has a wholesale and retail price. But different products have different markups for wholesale and retail. So, for example, if I have 2 products A and B, product A could have a retail markup of 20% and product B could have a retail markup of 30%. I want to set up conditional formatting in such a way that if a cost of a product is multiplied by the 30% markup, it should highlight the cell green, and if it's multiplied by a 20% markup, it should highlight the cell blue. So just by looking through my list, I know what the markup is on each product. Let me know if this can be done.

    Welcome to the forum

Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

    Re: Help with condititonal formatting

I put the data in columns K:M so that it could be compared to columns A:C
The formula for the red conditional formatting rule is: =L2=K2*H$2
The formula for the amber conditional formatting rule is: =L2=K2*H$3
The formula for the yellow conditional formatting rule is: =M2=K2*H$4
The formula for the green conditional formatting rule is: =M2=K2*H$5
