I was working on a document last night and it was saved and closed out. Today when I went to open the document it is a version that is probably more than a month old. how can I recover the last saved document or what has happened? I do not see the "revert to" option under my "file" menu.

The only thing that I can think of is that you have saved the file to a different location. If you open Excel and choose File, can you see a list of recent files? Can you see more than one reference to the file you are interested in?

I can see the recent list of files but this is the only one in regards to this saved file.
If Windows, search in Explorer for *.xls under file name in the folders where your files are saved to or search entire drive; can adjust time period of file to narrow results. Imagine IOS has similar functionality.
