Pivot table date filter applies but does not hide rows.

    Hi everyone!

Hoping someone here is able to assist me with a strange issue I'm having with Excel Pivot Tables the past couple of days.

I cannot filter the date for pivot tables. The filter just refuses to filter for dates - it shows as applied, but it doesn't change the table. I select the highlighted arrow in my pivot table as per image one, input a date range in the date filter as per image two, then get the result from image three where a filter has clearly applied, but the data remains unchanged.

I have attached the workbook. In terms of things I've tried to do: I've updated my Office to the newest version, I have checked and confirmed that the ?Group dates in the AutoFilter menu? box is ticked, and that the associated raw data is indeed in date format. I haven't changed any settings prior to this, this is Excel right out of the box.

I've also tried logging a ticket with Microsoft support in the event this is actually a bug or something, but is there anything I have missed?

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Adrian

    Hi,
I have no idea what's happened but if you right click on a month in your Pivot table and UNGROUP and group them again by year and month it will work

    Hi tanasedn,

Thanks so much for your help! I have tried doing that and it hasn't fixed the problem with my documents, though for some reason the filters work on the document you sent me, your document behaves normally to me?

    Cheers,
    Adrian
